JA Accepting Applications for 2026 Scholarship Program
It has also opened the application period for the Seymour & Evelyn Holtzman Bench Scholarship through June 30.

Both scholarship opportunities are available to employees of JA member companies who are pursuing respected industry programs, professional development courses, and certifications.
“Supporting education is one of the most impactful ways we can strengthen the future of the jewelry industry,” said David Bonaparte, president and CEO of JA.
“By investing in the development of both emerging bench jewelers and retail professionals, we’re helping to build a more skilled, confident, and forward-thinking workforce.”
The Seymour & Evelyn Holtzman Bench Scholarship was established in 2024 through a partnership between JA and Seymour and Evelyn Holtzman of Chicago’s CD Peacock.
It provides tuition assistance to students enrolled in accredited bench jeweler or metalsmith programs.
Applications for the bench jeweler scholarship will be accented through June 30.
The Jewelers of America Scholarship Program has also opened its application period.
Awards may be applied toward programs and certifications offered by the American Gem Society, American Society of Appraisers, Diamond Council of America, Gemological Institute of America, and National Association of Jewelry Appraisers.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, currently employed by a JA member store, and have a minimum of one year of experience in that store.
They cannot be currently enrolled in another home study course offered by the participating educational providers.
Scholarships from this program are limited to one recipient per store, with a maximum of three per membership during the enrollment period.
The enrollment period for the JA Scholarship Program is open through September 30, or until funds are fully distributed.
