JA Accepting 2026 Impact Initiative Applications
The program provides essential funding to organizations for projects that enhance the jewelry industry.

The program, which is in its second year, provides funding to organizations within the United States for projects that enhance the jewelry industry through ethical practices, environmental responsibility, education, innovation advancement, and more.
It is part of the association’s strategic plan that prioritizes development in areas central to its identity: energize and serve the member community, advance education, and amplify advocacy.
Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations with a clear mission for jewelry industry advancement, companies offering jewelry-related programming, and trade associations focused on the U.S. jewelry sector.
The funds will be awarded based on programs, potential reach, and need.
JA will be giving an initial $150,000 for 2026, with a goal to create long-term positive change.
“Jewelers of America is committed to elevating the jewelry industry. We believe that by supporting programming of other associations, we can make even more impact,” said JA President and CEO David J. Bonaparte.
“We look forward to seeing the applications for this year and remain grateful to our board of directors for supporting our vision to create the Impact Initiative.”
The 2025 inaugural Impact Initiative funds were awarded to BIJC Education Fund for its Future Jewelers Academy; Diamonds Do Good; Jewelers Security Alliance for the JSA Security Certification Program; Jewelers Vigilance Committee for its Legal Essentials for Jewelry Designers Guide; Providence Jewelers Club for its “Advancing Craftsmanship: Educational Opportunities for Bench Jewelers and Watchmakers” scholarship; and Texas Jewelers Association for GIA sessions at the Texas Jewelers Association Fall Conference.
Applications for this year’s Impact Initiative are now open and will close on May 18.
