Day’s Jewelers Honored With 3 Workplace Awards
The employee-owned jeweler was named a “Best Place to Work” in Maine, New Hampshire, and for women.
Day’s Jewelers opened its ninth store in Salem, New Hampshire last year. The retailer recently received three “Best Places to Work” awards from Best Companies Group.
Waterville, Me.—Day’s Jewelers took home three “Best Places to Work” awards this year.
The New England jeweler was recognized as one of the “Best Places to Work in Maine,” “Best Places to Work in New Hampshire,” and “Best Places to Work for Women.”
It is the twelfth year Day’s Jewelers has made the list in Maine, and the first time it made the list in New Hampshire, as this was the first year its team members there were surveyed.
As for the last award, women make up 69 percent of the jeweler’s workforce, which “shapes leadership, store operations, and company culture at every level,” said the company.
The Best Places to Work awards, given out by Best Companies Group, are based on employee survey responses that evaluate workplace culture, benefits, leadership, and overall employee experience. They are not awarded based solely on self-nomination.
“Being recognized as a Best Place to Work in Maine, New Hampshire, and for women is especially meaningful because these honors reflect the voices and experiences of our employees and the culture we have intentionally built together,” said Bobbi Avery, vice president of human resources at Day’s Jewelers.

Day’s Jewelers, once owned by the Corey family, became fully employee-owned in 2021.
This change means vested team members hold a direct stake in the company's performance, said the jeweler, and its leadership team credits that ownership structure as central to the strong culture recognized by the awards.

Founded in 1914, the New England jeweler has nine locations across Maine and New Hampshire.
