Chelsea Gabrielle Transforms Pilates Reformer Springs Into Ring
A lifelong practitioner of Pilates, Gabrielle looked to the springs’ tension and suspension when creating this ring, our Piece of the Week.
Our Piece of the Week merges fitness with fine jewelry via Chelsea Gabrielle’s “Momentum Infinite” ring.
If you’ve taken a Pilates class, then you’ve become acquainted with the reformer and Gabrielle, a lifelong practitioner of Pilates, has spent years mastering the machine.
The tension of the springs, the way they hook and return, and the quiet rhythm of metal in motion is what inspired Gabrielle to create her Momentum rings.
“One day I looked at the way the springs attach at the base and saw something completely different; I saw a mechanism that could hold a diamond,” said Gabrielle, founder and designer of her namesake brand.
“That idea evolved into a bezel suspended from a jump ring, allowing the diamond to orbit and move freely rather than remain static.”
The ring features eight round brilliant diamonds each in their own bezel setting that has been micro-engineered to be a kinetic aspect of the design. The bezel both holds the diamond in the setting while allowing it to spin in place.

This kinetic element echoes the movement of a reformer, the brand said, while the springs’ tension and balance are represented in the alternating hooks of 18-karat white and yellow gold, which suspend the diamonds between the two bands.
“The two-tone metal comes from another lifelong influence of mine: horseback riding. I’ve always loved the mix of metals in equestrian tack, and that contrast natural found its way into my jewelry,” Gabrielle explained.
“In many ways, Momentum Infinite brings together two worlds that have shaped me—Pilates and horses—and translates them into fine jewelry.”

The Momentum Infinite ring is part of the brand’s foundational “Momentum” collection. It became the hero piece of the collection.
It displays features that Gabrielle has continued since debuting that first collection: pieces designed around moment, reversible details, mixed metals, and fluid silhouettes.
Gabrielle founded her namesake brand in November 2025 and began expanding into wholesale in February.
The brand is sold in-store and online at Maxfield LA and online only through Olivela.
The Momentum Infinite ring retails for $6,430.
