Bijules, Kamyen Serve Up ‘Topspin’ Tennis Bracelet Ahead of US Open

In our Piece of the Week, the designers reimagine the tennis bracelet with green enamel wrapped around a strand of “Desert Diamonds.”

New York City-based brand Bijules and Dubai high jewelry house Kamyen have arrived at the court in time for this year’s U.S. Open with a collaboration reimagining the tennis bracelet and rivière necklace.

The “Topspin” collection puts four colorways into play across the two styles, including our Piece of the Week, the “Topspin” tennis bracelet with green enamel.

Crafted from 18-karat yellow gold, the bracelet maintains the classic diamond line look.

It is set with 5.05 carats of light fancy yellow “Desert Diamonds” with a thin strand of hand-painted “Grass Green” colored enamel wrapped helically around the length of the bracelet.

Jules Kim, founder and designer of Bijules, said the design is inspired by the players’ swing path.

“The swing is where the power is built, and I wanted that low-to-high topspin motion to live in the jewel,” said Kim.

A tennis racket clasp reinforces the theme.

It’s paired with a tennis “Sport” pearl charm from Bijules’ “Shoot It Hot” collection, its line of hand-carved and hand-painted freshwater pearls depicting balls from different sports that debuted at Couture.

“Kamyen’s incredible precision with enamel allowed us to translate that [swing] gesture across the diamonds, while the Bijules tennis Sport pearl from the Shoot It Hot collection—hand-painted by Vanity Projects nail artists—finishes the piece with another expression of the hand,” added Kim.

“It’s sport translated through craft.”

The Topspin collection also features variations using “U.S. Open Blue” and “Chalk White” enamel.

A pink enamel version trades the fancy yellow diamonds and 18-karat yellow gold for wheat-colored Desert Diamonds in 18-karat rose gold.

The collaborative collection continues Kim’s style of merging fine jewelry, sport, and contemporary culture in a new visual language.

Our Piece of the Week retails for $13,250.

The Topspin bracelets start at $11,450, and the necklaces, which are set with roughly 25 carats of diamonds each, start at $27,100.

Bespoke and custom color commissions are also available.

The Topspin collection launched today, Aug. 21, and will be available on the Bijules website.
