Look Ahead with Syna’s Binoculars Pendant
The “Star Gazer” pendant, our Piece of the Week, is Syna’s tribute to curiosity and the discovery of something new.
Charms have been dominating current jewelry trends and for a good reason—they’re personal.
By layering charms of various styles, symbols, and sizes on a necklace or bracelet, wearers can build a story reflecting who they are and what they believe in.
Our Piece of the Week, Syna’s “Star Gazer” pendant, holds a deeper meaning in its design, which was inspired by vintage binoculars.
It was created as a tribute to those who never stop looking beyond the horizon, explained Syna, and crafted from 18-karat yellow gold with pavé diamonds totaling 0.40 carats.
“It started with the bird-watching detective on ‘The Residence’—always with binoculars up, noticing what everyone else walks past,” said Dharmesh Kothari, founder and designer of Syna, about the source of his inspiration.
This detective, Cordelia Cupp, played by Uzo Aduba in the 2025 Netflix miniseries, uses her binoculars to gain insights from birds that ultimately help her solve cases.
“The Star Gazer is my little tribute to that kind of curiosity. And yes, you can actually look through it,” said Kothari.
The pendant celebrates the discovery of something new, whether it's a distant landscape, a new chapter, or a different way of seeing the world.
The Star Gazer pendant retails for $5,850 and is available on the Syna website.
