These Pieces of the Week Are Sweet
Edina Kiss’ “Popsicle” pendant and Karina Choudhrie’s “Ice Cream” charm satisfy that summer craving for a sweet piece of jewelry.

Whether you prefer popsicles or soft-serve ice cream cones, designers at Couture were ready to satisfy our sweet tooths with new debuts this year, leading to a double scoop for Piece of the Week.
For those who like ice pops, Edina Kiss is the designer to look to as she debuted her large “Popsicle” pendant at the show.
It features yellow agate, pink opal, and brown agate with an 18-karat yellow gold drip and a popsicle stick set with 0.68 carats of pink sapphire.
Kiss drew inspiration from her childhood summers in Hungary with no beach nearby, which made colorful popsicles feel special when she saw them on family trips to the shore.
“I wanted to capture that simple happiness, the color, the sunshine, the feeling of being a child on vacation,” Kiss said.
“For me, the pendant is playful, but still precious. It takes a sweet summer memory and turns it into something you can keep.”
The Popsicle pendant retails for $19,500 and is part of the “Recess” collection, which also includes other whimsical pieces like a “Rollerskate” pendant and other flavors of the Popsicle pendants.
Kiss’ Popsicle pendants are available in-store and online at Marissa Collections in Naples, Florida.
If you prefer soft-serve ice cream on a cone, Karina Choudhrie’s “Ice Cream” charm is the piece of dessert jewelry for you.
It features 1.45 carats of pink sapphire soft serve swirled atop an 18-karat yellow gold cone with 2.19 carats of diamonds and finished with a cherry made by 0.17 carats of rubies.
The charm is a new addition to Choudhrie’s “The Big Splash Circus” collection that debuted at Couture last year.
“The ice cream charm is a playful nod to the quintessential childhood treat. This one is a little more extravagant but just as fun and it is part of the circus-themed experience,” explained Choudhrie.
The Ice Cream charm retails for $10,980.
Karina Choudrie’s offerings can be seen on her website.
