The partners have announced the second cycle of the program, which has expanded to include a $25,000 student scholarship.

It has also opened the application period for the Seymour & Evelyn Holtzman Bench Scholarship through June 30.

Applications are open for the AGA Gemological Scholarship Program through May 15, and until June 2027 for the Gemological Research Grant.

It’s the third scholarship to be launched as part of the partnership to help appraisers advance their professional credentials.

Awards were given to four students, one apprentice, and an emerging jeweler.

The awards include tuition for a course at the Swiss lab, economy flights, and hotel accommodation.

The nonprofit awarded four students pursuing a professional career in jewelry making and design with $2,250 each.

The organization has awarded a total of $42,000 through its scholarship programs this year.

The winner of the inaugural David Yurman Gem Awards Grant will be announced live at the 2026 Gem Awards gala.
