Emerald’s New Owner Introduces ‘Glitter in the Grove’
The branding references the back-to-back jewelry shows that new parent company Forge will host in Miami's Coconut Grove this November.

First, the Coconut Grove Jewelry & Watch Show (CGJWS) will return to the Hangar at Regatta Harbour from Nov. 13-15.
It will feature a global range of antique, vintage, and estate jewelry and timepiece dealers.
The following week, Couture Coconut Grove will make its debut, marking the first time in its 31-year history that the B2B show is open to the public.
The new Couture show will take place in the same venue from Nov. 20-22.
Glitter in the Grove will provide collectors with unprecedented access to best-in-class design, organizers said.
CGJWS will offer pieces of stylish history, while Couture Coconut Grove will bring jewels from contemporary jewelry designers across the world.
“We are thrilled to return to Coconut Grove to build on the success of the Coconut Grove Jewelry and Watch Show, and we are so excited to introduce our community of Couture designers to passionate and engaged collectors,” said Gannon Brousseau, the former executive vice president of Emerald and newly-named executive vice president of Forge.
“Coconut Grove is a spectacular location to host jewelry and timepiece events of this caliber. The clientele is knowledgeable and informed, everyone in the area is so warm and welcoming, and the natural beauty is incomparable; it’s going to be great to be back!”
Following its acquisition of trade show operators Emerald and Questex, Apollo Funds combined the two companies into the corporate parent brand Forge as announced on Aug. 19.
Emerald’s portfolio included Couture and the antique jewelry shows that take place in Las Vegas and Miami.
“Today marks the beginning of Forge, a company built on the strengths of Emerald and Questex,” said Paul Miller, former CEO of Questex and now CEO of Forge.
“Together we are now the largest B2B events and media company in North America, and one of the largest in the world. We're helping customers see what is ahead and connect with the people who matter most to them, backed by the data, talent and scale to deliver measurable value year-round. Under Apollo Funds’ ownership, we will keep investing in our products, our people, and the markets we serve. That's what it means to move markets.”
Emerald and Questex’s individual event and media brands will continue to operate under their existing names.
The change of ownership and combination into Forge has not changed anything about Emerald’s shows or the day-to-day of the company, Forge said.
The executive leadership team, including Miller, was announced in July.
Miller also sits on the board of directors alongside representatives of Apollo Funds and Andy Bird, former president of Walt Disney International and former CEO of Pearson; Lara Boro, former CEO of The Economist Group and former CEO of Informa Intelligence; and Simon Kimble, former CEO and executive chairman of Clarion Events.
