NDC Designates April 8 as 'World Diamond Day'
The initiative invites those in the industry to share stories on social media highlighting the meaning and impact of natural diamonds.

World Diamond Day is intended to be a movement to highlight the emotional and cultural significance of natural diamonds and the moments they represent, the organization said.
The initiative, powered by user-generated content, encourages designers, retailers, manufacturers, and industry professionals to post authentic natural diamond stories on social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
Stories may include personal moments such as engagements, anniversaries, and heirlooms; diamond journeys from mine to market; positive impact stories involving communities, education, and conservation; and diamond creations showcasing design, craftsmanship, and collections.
The first World Diamond Day is slated for next week with a “soft launch” designed to spark participation across the global diamond community and encourage individuals throughout the industry to share what natural diamonds mean to them.
Companies across the diamond industry are encouraged to invite their teams, partners, clients, and communities to participate on April 8 by sharing their stories on social media using #WorldDiamondDay and #NaturalDiamonds.
A dedicated toolkit and participation guidelines are available on NDC’s website.
Participants can download pre-sized social media assets or add the World Diamond Day logo to their own images.
“In a world where imitation is so often championed, natural diamonds remain powerful symbols of authenticity,” NDC said.
“Formed over billions of years, natural diamonds mark life’s most meaningful milestones, and this initiative offers the industry an opportunity to reinforce that message through real stories and shared experiences.”
