Rocksbox Opens Pop-Up Store in San Francisco
The new space was designed to evoke a warm, inviting vibe.

The former jewelry subscription service recently ended its rental service, transitioning to an e-commerce website.
The store, located in the Pacific Heights neighborhood, had its soft opening Tuesday. A grand opening event is scheduled for Dec. 14.
This is a temporary location for Rocksbox, designed as a six-month-long pop-up experience, though the company said it plans to reassess its plans after it sees how the pop-up performs.
The company, acquired by Signet Jewelers in 2021, said it opted to abandon its subscription rental model after seeing a growing interest from customers in owning their pieces.
“The new retail store is the perfect way for customers to experience our collection in real life, offering the full online assortment, as well as some special retail-only items,” said Allison Vigil, president of Rocksbox.
“We’re excited to open up a new avenue for customers to engage with our jewelry, bringing us back to our roots by providing an intimate space for consumers to discover new designers and styles in a warm, inviting environment, akin to a friend’s apartment.”
The design choices are a nod to the company’s beginning. Former CEO Meaghan Rose founded the company in 2012, starting the brand by lending personal jewelry to friends.
Rocksbox has expanded its assortment post-transition, adding in new designers as well as fine jewelry and lab-grown diamond styles.
The store will sell new jewelry alongside pre-owned fashion and fine jewelry pieces.
The location will stock about 250 styles, with most pieces priced under $200.
The store carries 13 designer brands, including two in-house brands, Rocksbox and Rocksbox Redefined.
Other brands featured include Kendra Scott, Kate Spade, Lele Sadoughi, and Ana Luisa, with select brands offering styles exclusive to Rocksbox.
Rocksbox noted its collections are chosen with intention, including brands that are founded by women, use reclaimed materials, or have a philanthropic element.
