In Vicenza, Pesavento Masters Layering
The Italian design brand amplified its on-trend offerings of chains meant for stacking, mixing and matching.
Vicenza, Italy—At her Vicenzaoro fine jewelry trend presentation, Paolo De Luca, founder of forecasting company TrendVision, noted the relevance of pieces meant for layering, mixing and matching.
She may very well have been referencing Pesavento.
Founded in 1992 by Marino Pesavento, production director, and Chiara Carli, creative and managing director, the company celebrated its 25th anniversary last year. That may be young in the arena of Italian heritage brands, but the silver-based label showed in its latest updates that it knows how to strike just the right balance between classic and fresh.
In English, “intreccio” translates to interweaving, and the new Intreccio collection from Pesavento appropriately featured woven strands of rose gold-plated sterling silver in malleable cuff styles, perfect for stacking up the arm.
A perfect accompaniment to the look were the new cube bracelets, a simple and elegant everyday style of sterling silver cubes available in a rose gold, ruthenium or rhodium finish. The facets of each cube subtly catch the light, like an all-metal version of a diamond tennis bracelet.
The majority of Pesavento’s offerings feature what it calls its “Polvere di Sogni,” or “dust of dreams,” embellishment—reflective carbon micro particles in black or bronze that provide a neutral yet glittering accent.
Pesavento combined this signature accent with its Spring DNA collection, which features multiple flexible strands of rose gold-plated sterling silver, combined into pieces that provide an instant layered look. Chokers and bracelets received the “Polvere di Sogni” update, furthering the brand’s layering possibilities.
Rounding out the assortment of new pieces were Pixel Square rings featuring metal detailing for a patterned effect updated to include Polvere di Sogni microparticles, as well as additions to the Geo collection, comprised of large interlocking links.
Pesavento retails between $150 and $1,500 in about 1,000 boutiques worldwide.
