Citizen Announces New Modern Luxury Watch Category
The “Series8” and “Attesa” collections will be grouped under Citizen Premier.

The new category, Citizen Premiere, aims to set a new standard in modern, inclusive luxury, the brand said.
“At Citizen, we have spent more than a century perfecting the art of timekeeping,” said Jeffrey Cohen, president of Citizen Watch America.
“Citizen Premier is the culmination of that journey—melding our heritage with modern innovation to offer a truly refined luxury experience.”
Citizen Premiere will launch with the existing “Series8” and “Attesa” collections, with new product launches in each to mark the category’s debut.
Each of these collections is a testament to sophisticated design and cutting-edge technology in movements and materials, the brand said.
Series8, a line featuring bold, sporty aesthetics, debuted in the U.S. in 2023 as the foundation for the watchmaker’s expansion into entry-level luxury automatic timepieces.
One of the inaugural Citizen Premiere models, Citizen has recently released the limited-edition 831 mechanical model featuring a glittering, ice blue dial with a geometric pattern, an octagonal case, and a stainless steel bracelet. It’s powered by the Cal. 9051 mechanical movement.

The Series8 831 retails for $1,095.
As Citizen celebrates 55 years since launching what it deemed the world’s first titanium watch, it is also emphasizing the Attesa collection, a line inspired by the watchmaker’s technological innovations.
These innovations include Super Titanium, its proprietary surface hardening technology the brand says is five times harder and 40 percent lighter than stainless steel, and Eco-Drive, which allows watches to run powered by any type of light.
The Attesa collection is characterized by its avant-garde designs with cutting-edge movements, materials, and sustainable craftsmanship, the brand said.
For the launch of Citizen Premiere, the watchmaker has released the first-ever Attesa ceramic bezel models. The silver model is coated with Duratect titanium carbide and the black model with Duratect DLC coating.

The watches feature a black octagonal ceramic bezel with a rugged brushed finish and a Super Titanium case.
The models also have a black dial Citizen said was inspired by the deep black of unprocessed titanium, metal rings around the three sub-dials, and a dial ring with rough metallic texture.
Both are equipped with the F950 movement, Citizen’s most advanced movement for Eco-Drive Satellite Wave GPS watches, capable of receiving time signals in a little as three seconds so the watches always reflect local time. The models are also equipped with Double Direct Flight, which allows the wearer to switch the display to local time in 26 time zones.
Each of the two new Attesa models retails for $1,995.
