TAG Heuer Unveils the New Aquaracer Professional 300
The new timepieces are highlighted in a campaign that celebrates the ocean.

Unveiled at Watches and Wonder Geneva this year, the Aquaracer Professional 300 boasts the original diving style’s twelve-sided, unidirectional rotating bezel, but now with fluting so it’s easier to grip and mechanical changes that make it smoother, quieter, and easier to set, the watchmaker said.
The twelve-sided motif is repeated in other elements, like the shape of eight of the hour markers.
Many of the Professional 300’s features were built around improving functionality for divers and other watersport afficionados.
Hour and minute hands differ in width, shape and size for easy legibility, for example, and are even rendered in different colors of Super-LumiNova coating for extra distinction.
The watch’s overall form is thinner and lighter than diving watches past, making it more ergonomic and streamlined for both leisure and sport, though it doesn’t sacrifice power, being water resistant to 300 meters.
There are a total of seven references and two sizes to the Professional 300.
Four references have a 43mm case diameter and three have a 36mm diameter.

All but one timepiece is crafted in stainless steel with black, blue or silver dials, with the exception of a matte titanium 43mm edition, which has a green dial.
The 43mm Professional 300s feature dials with signature Aquaracer engraved horizontal lines, now set more widely apart, while the 36mm timepieces showcase a wave-inspired pattern.
The metal bracelets boast a sophisticated fine adjustment system that reduces or extends length down to 1.5 centimeters. The wearer can easily adjust the Professional 300 to fit over a wetsuit, or account for changes in climate and temperature, without even removing it.

Rounding out the new models is a limited-edition Aquaracer Professional 300 that is a take on the original Ref. 844 divers watch introduced in 1978.
It features a Grade 5 titanium case, a red 24-hour scale and a black perforated rubber strap. Only 844 editions of the tribute watch will be made.
All of these references are powered by the Swiss-made automatic mechanical movement Calibre 5.
To promote the range, which is available now on TAGHeuer.com and at retailers, the Swiss watchmaker crafted a campaign emphasizing the Professional 300’s oceanic capabilities.

From Swiss filmmaker Jonas Egi, it highlights surfer, windsurfer and kitesurfer Kai Lenny; freediving champion and videographer Julie Gautier; and diver Robin George.
The video explores what is described in psychology as the flow state or being “in the zone.”
