These 8 Saks Fifth Avenue Stores Are Closing
Parent company Saks Global is also closing nearly all Saks Off 5th locations, a Neiman Marcus store, and 14 personal styling suites.

The retailer announced this week that it will close eight Saks Fifth Avenue locations and one Neiman Marcus location.
The company said it is “refining” the store footprints of the two brands, focusing on profitable locations with the highest growth potential.
The following Saks Fifth Avenue locations are closing:
The Summit in Birmingham, Alabama;
Polaris Fashion Place in Columbus, Ohio;
American Dream in East Rutherford, New Jersey;
Shops at Canal Place in New Orleans;
Bala Plaza in Philadelphia;
Biltmore Fashion Park in Phoenix;
Stony Point Fashion Park in Richmond, Virginia; and
Utica Square in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Neiman Marcus store in Boston’s Copley Place also is set to close.
“By optimizing our operational footprint, we will be better positioned to deliver exceptional products, elevated experiences and highly personalized service across all channels, while simultaneously positioning our company to make investments that enable long-term growth and value creation,” Saks Global CEO Geoffroy van Raemdonck said.
“Importantly, opportunities within the luxury market remain strong, and Saks Global is primed to play a distinct, enduring role within the industry for many years to come.”
Saks Global is also closing 14 of its Fifth Avenue Club personal styling suites.
The Fifth Avenue Club began as designated areas within Saks’ stores, but the retailer expanded the concept by partnering with luxury resort operators, like The Ritz-Carlton and St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, create private suites in hotels.
The suites were introduced to serve Saks Fifth Avenue customers in markets without a physical store presence but after Saks Global’s 2024 acquisition of Neiman Marcus, it can now serve shoppers in those markets, the retailer said.
Saks Fifth Avenue plans to keep three personal styling suites in markets that present a growth opportunity: Indianapolis and Honolulu, with another set to open in Palm Beach, Florida, in the fall.
Saks Global is also making changes to how designer furniture and home decor retailer Horchow operates.
Starting Feb. 19, customers who want to shop with Horchow will be directed to the home category on the Neiman Marcus website. The full assortment of brands and product categories previously available on Horchow.com will be available there.
“This transition creates meaningful efficiencies and enables closer integration across merchandising, marketing and technology,” Saks Global said.
There are currently no changes planned for the Bergdorf Goodman brand.
The operational changes follow Saks Global’s announcement last month that it would be closing most of its Saks Off 5th retail locations and Last Call stores.
“As we advance on Saks Global’s transformation, we are taking decisive steps to realign our business to better serve our luxury customers and drive full-price selling across our core luxury businesses,” said van Raemdonck.
Closing sales at its off-price retailers began Jan. 31.
Select Saks Off 5th stores will remain open to sell residual inventory from Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, and Bergdorf Goodman, said the company, but it will no longer purchase merchandise directly for Saks Off 5th.
The Saks Off 5th website, which is a separate entity from Saks Global, also will wind down its operations.
