Registration Open for Converge 2025
The inaugural event is being co-hosted by the American Gem Society and the Gemological Institute of America.

The two organizations are combining each of its biggest events.
AGS Conclave, the group’s annual education and networking event, will combine with GIA’s Symposium, a research and education event held every five to seven years, to create “Converge.”
The event will be held Sept. 7-10 in Carlsbad, California, at GIA’s headquarters and the Omni La Costa Resort.
“Converge brings together the best of AGS Conclave and GIA Symposium in an exciting, first-of-its-kind opportunity for education, professional development, and networking with leaders from every sector of the gem and jewelry industry,” said AGS CEO Katherine Bodoh.
AGS and GIA will share more details about the event, including keynote speakers and topics of discussion, in the coming months.
“With the unprecedented challenges in the gem and jewelry industry, the expertise, experience and innovation offered by AGS and GIA have never been more critical,” said GIA President and CEO Susan Jacques.
“That is why we are making AGS and GIA's combined expertise and experience available at Converge through education, knowledge, groundbreaking research and unparalleled networking.”
The event’s website has details about the excursions, activities at GIA headquarters, and the special Harvard Business School program offered at Converge, titled “Common Purpose - Resilience, Relevance, and Renewal.”
Excursions include a whale watching tour, a vineyard wine tasting, a tour of Oceanview mine, and guided tours of GIA headquarters.
Registrations for Converge, the Harvard program, and excursions are limited and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, said GIA.
Full-access registration, which includes all Converge sessions and networking events, costs $1,425. One-day registration costs $525.
Two-day and guest registration options are also available.
