AGS Conclave and GIA Symposium Are Converging
The two organizations will host a joint event, “Converge,” in September 2025.

AGS Conclave, the group’s annual education and networking event, will unite with GIA’s Symposium, a research and education event held every five to seven years, to create “Converge.”
The new event will be held Sept. 7-10, 2025, in Carlsbad, California, at GIA’s headquarters and the Omni La Costa Resort.
“Combining GIA’s strengths as a leader in education, science, and pioneering research with AGS’s focus on professional development, business resources, and networking provides a unique opportunity to advance our shared mission to protect consumers and to serve the international gem and jewelry community,” said AGS CEO Katherine Bodoh.
GIA CEO and President Susan Jacques said, “This joint event will blend the best of AGS and GIA, harnessing each organization's unique capabilities to offer innovative educational and professional development programming, together with the latest scientific research in a unique environment.”
GIA and AGS will share more information including program, registration, and lodging details in the near future.
