Piece of the Week: Sydney Evan Gets ‘Wicked’
Designer Rosanne Karmes has created a collection to coincide with the release of the movie musical, which is expected to be a blockbuster.

Later this month, Universal Pictures will release the big-screen version of the uber-popular, Tony Award-winning Broadway musical “Wicked.”
Starring Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Galinda (a.k.a., Glinda), “Wicked” reframes how we look at the “good” and “bad” witches from “The Wizard of Oz.”
The musical itself is an adaptation of a 1995 novel by Gregory Maguire, “Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West.”

Wicked x Sydney Evan is a fine jewelry capsule collection conceived by the jewelry brand’s founder and designer Rosanne Karmes.
Karmes said she worked to, “seamlessly incorporate the DNA of Sydney Evan and ‘Wicked’ into every piece, merging both universes.”
Charms inspired by the “Wicked” world—including Elphaba’s hat and boot, the wizard’s hot air balloon, and Galinda’s perfume bottle—dangle from beaded bracelets with either green (for Elphaba) or pink gemstones (for Galinda), a style that is recognizably Sydney Evan.
The collection also branches out into gemstone-laden necklaces, earrings and bracelets, a 14-karat gold bangle bracelet and bar necklace featuring “Wicked” icons, and coin charms, like our Piece of the Week.
Inspired by Erivo’s character, Elphaba, our Piece of the Week is the Sydney Evan x Wicked “Spell Book” coin charm in 14-karat gold.
On the front is a moth surrounded by a circle of emeralds and a circle of diamonds, while the back reads, “Unlock the Magic Within.”
It retails for $2,465.
The Sydney Evan x Wicked capsule collection is available starting today on SydneyEvan.com, select Bloomingdale’s locations, and other select specialty retailers.
“Wicked” will be in theaters Nov. 22.
The musical is being adapted to the big screen in two parts, with the second “Wicked” movie slated to drop on Nov. 21, 2025.
A new assortment of Wicked x Sydney Evan jewelry will roll out in late 2025 to coincide with the release of “Wicked Part Two.”
