Reshyne Aims to Put Modern Shine on Jewelry Repairs

The platform helps jewelers manage and track repairs via their website and allows customers to place orders online.

Developed by MJJ Brilliant Chief Operating Officer Jason Yakubovich, Reshyne is a repair service management platform that helps jewelers and designers track, manage, and process jewelry and watch repairs.
New York—A new service aims to make the process of selling, processing, and tracking jewelry and watch repairs easier and more efficient for both retailers and their customers.

Launched earlier this month, Reshyne (pronounced reshine) is a repair management service platform that is fully customizable and integrates with any website.

It has three components.

The consumer-facing component—which can be branded with a store’s colors, logos, fonts, etc., to match the rest of the website—allows customers to order and pay for repairs online and track them .to completion.

Customers can also print out pre-paid shipping labels so they can send in a piece for repair or resizing without having to come into the store.

Meanwhile, the jeweler’s management portal side of the platform provides the retailer with a dashboard so they can track sales, tailor their menu of services, assign repairs either in-house or to vendors, and manage workflows.

It also can be used as a POS system so sales associates can check out customers who come into the store with their jewelry or watch repair.

The third component is the vendor component for jewelers who don’t handle repairs in-house.

Retailers can allow their repair vendor, or vendors, to access the platform. There, the vendor can upload their pricing, provide updates on the status of repairs for customers, provide before and after photos of work, and invoice retailers for work completed.

Reshyne also offers order fulfillment, completing and delivering fine jewelry repairs via two facilities in New York.

Jason Yakubovich, chief operating officer of manufacturer MJJ Brilliant, developed the platform. It’s been in use at MJJ sister company Quick Jewelry Repairs for six years, where they have been testing and refining it, he said.

Yakubovich developed Reshyne to help push the repair sector of the industry, which still relies on paper order forms in some cases, into the future. He noted the jewelry industry is sometimes “lagging” when it comes to embracing technology.

“Reshyne delivers much-needed innovation to an industry that has been stuck in the dark ages for decades,” he said. “Contemporary consumers are increasingly digital. They expect and demand tech-enabled experiences from the brands they do business with.”
