WJA Calls for Awards for Excellence Nominations
Know somebody in the industry who deserves recognition? Nominate them for one of the Women’s Jewelry Association’s 2016 Awards for Excellence.
New York--The Women’s Jewelry Association is calling for nominations for its 2016 Awards for Excellence.
The deadline for submission is Tuesday, Feb. 16. Winners will be announced at the organization’s annual gala dinner scheduled for Monday, July 25.
Nominations can be made using an online form and multiple nominations can be submitted. Users can nominate as many women as they would like; there is no cap.
In order to be eligible, the nominee must have been employed for at least two consecutive years by the company with whom she has been nominated and must have retained her position in the same professional category in which she has been nominated for a minimum of one year.
Awards for Excellence are presented in the following categories: Design: Fine Jewelry and Watches; Manufacturer, Dealer or Supplier of Fine Jewelry, Gemstones, Metals or Watches; Retail – 15 Doors or More; Retail – Fewer Than 15 Doors; Retail – Non-Traditional; Sales/Merchandising; Marketing/Communications; Media (Editorial); Special Services; and Watches.
Once nominees in each category have been vetted for eligibility, their names go to an independent judging committee comprised of five past winners and two WJA national board members for final consideration and vote by secret ballot.
