New York—Auction house Fortuna announced Thursday that industry veteran Sam Ziefer will join its management team as executive vice president of business development.
He also was head of the retail division at Circa, a buyer of pre-owned jewelry, gemstones and watches, and the former president and owner of Mayers Jewelry Co. and WC Edge.
As EVP of business development, Ziefer will be tasked with building strategic partnerships and helping to strengthen the auction house’s national reach.
The company said it is “gearing for rapid growth in 2019 and beyond.”
CEO John Saxon said in an email to National Jeweler Monday that the company’s mission is to build “a virtuous and sustainable ecosystem where everybody flourishes. Sam will be instrumental in helping us carry out this mission.”
