Antonini Presents New ‘Etna’ Collection at Vicenzaoro
The Italian brand’s latest offerings are inspired by volcanic rock.

Vicenza, Italy--Antonini had an abundance of new product offerings to present at the January 2018 edition of the Vicenzaoro trade show.
Most notable from the Milan-based brand was a new collection called Etna, in reference to the active volcano in Sicily.
This natural inspiration was translated into jewelry through organic, roughly textured ring shanks and bracelets, their surfaces appearing like volcanic rock.
The Etna collection is comprised of bold cocktail rings, sleek pendants and bolo-like necklaces, cuffs and stud earrings.
Each design centers on a concave gold plane, accented with a smattering of diamonds, or full pavé versions.
Pieces will be produced in 18-karat yellow gold in both a brushed, matte finish and shiny, polished finish. Some of the collection features white gold accents, while others employ rhodium-plated silver over 18-karat gold.
The collection will retail from approximately $1,200 to $8,000 for full-diamond pavé pieces.
Aside from Etna and additions to other core Antonini offerings, the brand also showed more extravagant versions of signature designs as part of its ongoing Extraordinaire collection.
While Antonini’s core collections are produced in 18-karat gold and white diamonds, Extraordinaire focuses on color in its one-of-a-kind and limited-edition pieces.
In the collection this year, Antonini upped its new Etna offerings with a series of “Mosaic” pendants and rings, similar to Etna styles but pave-set with clusters of different-sized diamonds and gemstones.
There were emerald and natural fancy brown diamond versions, but varying shades of pink and blue sapphires were a particular highlight.
These colorful versions were set in matte 18-karat rose gold and 18-karat “natural white gold,” or an alloy particular to the brand, the shade of which falls in between a traditional white and yellow gold hue.
The prices of “Extraordinaire” pieces are available upon request.
Founded in 1919, Antonini is sold all over the world, including at Bergdorf Goodman and Bloomingdale’s department stores in the United States.
Last year, the brand won an Andrea Palladio Award at Vicenzaoro for “Best Italian Jewelry Brand Collection”.
Vicenzaoro concludes Wednesday.
