Israel’s International Diamond Week Registration is Open
Scheduled for February, the diamond trading event will host Alrosa President Andrey Zharkov as its guest of honor.
Ramat Gan, Israel--The sixth edition of the annual International Diamond Week in Israel (IDWI) will take place from Monday, Feb. 13 to Thursday, Feb. 16, and registration is open.
The event will be held on the trading floor of the Israel Diamond Exchange. This year, trading will occur from Monday to Wednesday on the bourse floor and Thursday will be for private appointments, plus free sightseeing tours to Jerusalem and the Dead Sea.
Regarding improvements to this year’s event, Israel Diamond Exchange President Yoram Dvash said, “This year we are working in cooperation with the World Federation of Diamond Bourses to bring members of all the bourses, making this a truly ‘interbourse’ event.”
Haim Volner, the incoming chairman of IDWI said, “IDWI has established a reputation as a prime trading opportunity for diamond dealers. We have upgraded the event with a new format and other new features.”
Thus far, IDWI has announced a number of events happening around IDWI this year:
• Koin International Diamond Tenders is holding a tender during IDWI, its first in Israel;
• The Israel Diamond Exchange will host eight tenders of rough and polished diamonds from suppliers and producers;
• I. Hennig Tenders will hold its second tender of polished diamonds with the International Tender Center; and
• Alrosa President Andrey Zharkov will be in attendance as the guest of honor and will meet with leaders of the Israel Diamond Exchange.
