New York--The Responsible Jewellery Council is on the hunt for a new CEO who will provide strategic vision and leadership for the next chapter of the organization’s development.
Catherine Sproule is currently serving as interim CEO.
The RJC is looking for an individual who will focus on engaging internationally with key market influencers and other contacts relevant to the jewelry industry, with India and China as priorities.
They also will continue to advance the council’s mission of striving to be the recognized standards and certification organization for supply chain integrity and sustainability in the industry, working closely with the council’s London office, the RJC said.

Shawna Kulpa has been promoted to editor of the MJSA Journal, the organization’s monthly magazine, succeeding Tina Snyder. The appointment becomes effective at the end of the month.
A 14-year veteran of MJSA, Kulpa currently serves as its publications specialist and has been instrumental in the expansion and development of its overall publishing program. She coordinated the MJSA Journal’s editorial and oversaw development of its annual events calendar, in addition to editing books published by the association’s press division.
Kulpa also played a key role in the development of MJSA’s website, particularly the MJSA Online Journal section.
