ICA Names Brandee Dallow as CEO
Dallow will lead the International Colored Gemstone Association, effective July 6.

The longtime industry executive will step into the role on July 6.
She succeeds Doug Hucker, who retired in April after four years at ICA’s helm.
Dallow’s experience spans mining, manufacturing, certification, retail, responsible sourcing, communications, and association management, which gives her a comprehensive view of the gemstone market, said ICA.
Most recently, Dallow was the chief communications and sustainability officer at Grandview Klein Diamonds.
Previously, she held leadership positions at advertising agency J. Walter Thompson, working with the De Beers Group, as well as roles with Rio Tinto Diamonds and the Responsible Jewellery Council.
She is “one of the industry's most active and respected volunteer leaders,” said ICA, as she shares ing her expertise with organizations that promote ethics, education, governance, and professional development.
Dallow is a past international president of the Women's Jewelry Association and the Women's Jewelry Association Foundation. She currently serves as president of the Community for Ethical Jewelry.
In her new role, she will work alongside ICA’s board of directors and its membership to bolster engagement, encourage collaboration, and strengthen ICA’s role as a leading voice in the colored gemstone industry.
"Brandee brings a thoughtful and collaborative leadership style, along with a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing our sector," said ICA President Damien Cody.
"As ICA continues to evolve and serve a dynamic global industry, we are excited about the perspective, experience, and energy she will bring to our members and the association."
ICA praised Dallow’s combination of association leadership, business experience, and stakeholder engagement, as well as her commitment to organizations and initiatives that support the jewelry and colored gemstone industries.
"What excites me most about this opportunity is the people. For more than 40 years, ICA has brought together passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated professionals from around the world. It has served as a trusted advocate, a convener, and a source of connection for the global colored gemstone community,” said Dallow.
“As new generations discover the extraordinary world of colored gemstones, ICA has an important role to play in helping our sector grow, evolve, and thrive. I am honored by the board's trust and excited to work alongside our members to build on that legacy."
Dallow will take the reins at an “exciting time” for the colored gemstone industry, said ICA, citing new opportunities for innovation, education, and engagement.
Founded in 1984, ICA supports colored gemstone professionals, promoting trade, education, ethical business practices, and consumer confidence. It currently includes nearly 700 industry leaders from mine to market, representing 47 countries.
