Jewelers Mutual Appoints Mastercard Exec to Its Board
Dana J. Lorberg brings 35 years of experience in finance, technology, and strategy to the role.

Lorberg is a semi-retired global payments executive at Mastercard International, where she previously held technology, commercial, and financial roles.
While at Mastercard International, she played an integral role in building and operating its global payment network, said Jewelers Mutual.
The insurance provider said that Lorberg brings 35 years of experience to the role and will play an important role in helping drive the business forward as the jewelry industry continues to evolve.
“We are excited to welcome Dana to our board of directors,” said Scott Murphy, president and chief financial officer at Jewelers Mutual.
“Her extensive expertise in finance, technology, and strategy makes her a vital addition to our board. Dana’s contributions will be invaluable as we look toward a future focused on innovation, growth, and expansion.”
Lorberg has held a range of positions, including those involving technology, business leadership, writing code, and leading commercial departments, including consulting, mergers and acquisitions, business financial officer, and technical security.
She was named one of the “Top 25 Non-Bank Women in Finance” by U.S. Banker and one of the “Most Influential Women in Payments” by Card Forum and Payment Source.
“I am incredibly honored to join the board of this extremely successful company and excited to share my technology, financial, and commercial experiences in this growing industry,” said Lorberg.
