Kaley Cuoco Has a Three-Stone Engagement Ring With a Twist
The three-stone ring was designed by Shahla Karimi Jewelry and represents Cuoco, her fiancé Tom Pelphrey, and their child.

Kaley Cuoco, star of HBO Max’s “The Flight Attendant” and CBS sitcom “The Big Bang Theory,” received a unique three-stone engagement ring from her boyfriend, Tom Pelphrey, an actor in “Ozark,” last week.
Cuoco announced the couple’s engagement in an Instagram story, thanking designer Shahla Karimi of Shahla Karimi Jewelry for “creating this once in a lifetime slice of perfection.”
The ring centers a cushion-cut white diamond flanked by two yellow diamonds. National Jeweler estimates the total weight of the ring to be about 4 carats.
Each stone represents a member of the couple’s family—one for Cuoco, one for Pelphrey, and one for their 1-year-old daughter Matilda, or “Tildy”—Cuoco explained in a comment on the New York City-based jewelry designer’s Instagram.
The stones, set in 18-karat yellow gold, are not arranged in a typical three-stone setting.
On one side, a baguette-cut diamond is set north-south, while on the other side, an emerald-cut diamond is east-west.
The meaning behind the unique orientation is unknown.
Karimi, who worked with Pelphrey to design the ring, said she was not authorized to publicly share any details on the ring beyond what was posted on social media.
Karimi also designed the ruby rings worn by Taylor Swift to the 2024 Super Bowl. Hailey Bieber, Reese Witherspoon, Gabrielle Union, and Kasey Musgraves are among the other celebrities who own pieces from her brand.
Cuoco and Pelphrey met in 2022 because they have the same management team, explained Cuoco in an interview with Extra.
Their manager took Cuoco as her guest to the “Ozark” premiere, where she met Pelphrey, experiencing what she described as love at first sight.
Three-stone rings have been rising in popularity since 2017, when Prince Harry proposed to Meghan Markle with a cushion-cut white diamond ring flanked by two round brilliant diamonds.
The engagement ring style grew in popularity, with noteworthy celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and Heidi Klum having opted for a three-stone ring.
It remains popular in 2024, with experts in the jewelry industry noting it as one of the engagement ring trends for the year.
