Colorado Jeweler Celebrates 40 Years with Acts of Kindness
Hyde Park Jewelers is commemorating 40 years of retail success with 40 contributions to various philanthropic organizations.

Denver--One independent jewelry store is celebrating 40 years of success by giving back to the community where it started.
Hyde Park Jewelers was founded by Michael Pollak in 1976. Pollak’s only prior jewelry experience was selling turquoise and Native American jewelry on the main lawn of the University of Denver while studying there.
Hyde Park Jewelers’ first location, which Pollak opened in partnership with his turquoise dealer, was a 1,000-square-foot store in Denver’s Tamarac Square mall.
In the 40 years that followed, Hyde Park Jewelers has grown into a successful independent jeweler, with seven retail locations across Colorado, California, Arizona and Nevada, specializing in Swiss watches and fine jewelry.
Today the company’s flagship store is a 10,000-square-foot space in Denver’s Cherry Creek Shopping Center.
To celebrate his store’s 40th anniversary, Pollak is launching an effort to complete 40 charitable acts.
These include a contribution to the Denver Health Foundation, a partnership with Girls Inc. on the Diamonds Do Good initiative and sponsorship of the Oceana foundation.
These acts build upon the Hyde Park Jewelers’ philanthropic history; previously it raised close to $1.5 million for more than 50 organizations via its Diamonds in the Rough Foundation, the company said via a release.
To follow along with the 40 Acts of Kindness campaign, follow Hyde Park Jewelers on their Twitter and Instagram accounts, where the store’s handle is @hpjewels. Hyde Park is using the hashtags #HP40th #40ActsOfKindness and #HPGivesBack to promote the effort.
