New York--Longtime Ben Bridge and current Reeds Jewelers executive Scott Sedlacek is now heading sales for diamond company R.A. Riam Group and its lab-grown arm, Altr Created Diamonds.
Sedlacek started his career in the jewelry industry in 1975 with Ben Bridge Jeweler.
He stayed with the family-owned independent for nearly 24 years, ending his career there as vice president of merchandise.
He left in 1999 to join Rolex Watch USA as an area sales manager and worked there for eight years.
Since then, Sedlacek has held positions at Columbia Gem House, the HRA Group and Reeds Jewelers, where he’s been the vice president of merchandise for the last five years.
At Altr/Riam, Sedlacek will be the new president of sales and business development, leading the Riam Group and Altr sales teams, with a focus on the man-made diamonds that Altr grows, cuts and sets into jewelry.
“The addition of Scott to our sales team is especially welcome given our exciting and burgeoning expansion into lab-grown diamonds. His strong, winning attitude and personality are assets that will complement and enhance both Riam Group and Altr with regard to our ability to meet the needs of our customers as we continue to provide quality, innovative products to the marketplace,” said Amish Shah.
Shah is president of Altr and the Riam Group, a family-owned company that has been in the mined diamond business for nearly eight decades.
Riam launched Altr, its man-made diamond arm, in 2016. This year in Las Vegas, the company introduced “Lovemonster,” a brand for its created diamonds.
