Tomasz Donocik Lands at Saks Fifth Avenue
The jewelry designer’s launch at the department store coincides with the unveiling of its renovated “Jewelry on 2” floor.

New York--This week, Saks Fifth Avenue unveiled the renovated “Jewelry on 2” floor at its New York City flagship, and launched a jewelry designer new to the department store at the opening.
London-based Tomasz Donocik is now selling his modern, edgy creations at Saks.
Donocik’s most popular collections are his “Electric Night”and “Stellar” ranges, which have become core components of his brand.
The former employs baguette colored gemstones like emeralds, sapphires, iolites, topaz and amethyst set in angular, futuristic shapes that take their inspiration from the film “Blade Runner,” mixed with a touch of geometric Art Deco influence.
The latter collection has a similar adherence to geometry and angularity, but works with a palette of pink opal, white agate, rubies, hematite and white diamonds (Donocik also creates several of his signature styles in all-white-diamond versions for the color-averse).
The designer’s work doesn’t look like anyone else’s, and that’s intentional.
“I always try and design something that is not out there,” he explained. “It always needs to be different. Whatever everyone is doing, I try and challenge and create something new.”
Donocik was born in Poland and raised in Austria. He studied at the Royal College of Art in London and went on to design at LVMH, De Beers, Garrard and Stephen Webster before launching his eponymous line.
He’s racked up a number of awards over the span of his career, including two Couture Design Awards. He originally exhibited at Couture as part of Stephen Webster’s Rock Vault.
The Saks partnership comes a year after Donocik’s third and final year as part of Couture’s Design Atelier.
His collection at the retailer starts at $1,280 and caps off at $23,000.
