Superfit to open distribution center in Canada
Toronto-based Platinum Unlimited will operate the facility for jewelry manufacturer Superfit, with the opening set for June 1.
Toronto--Jewelry manufacturer Superfit has announced a new Canadian distribution and instillation center, which will be operated by Toronto-based Platinum Unlimited and is slated to open on June 1.
With the brand seeing “prolific” growth in the Canadian market over the last 20 years, having a physical presence will allow it to more efficiently serve customers in the country by easing logistical issues presented by an international border, Superfit said.
Superfit Canada’s staff will include trained technicians who will be available to perform installations of the brand’s patented hinge mechanism, which is located at the base of the ring and allows it open and close to provide for a custom fit, as well as provide maintenance and warranty services.
Representatives from the new facility will be at the Superfit booth at the upcoming JCK Las Vegas show to allow them to get acquainted with Canadian accounts and provide information about working with the brand’s products within the country.
Platinum Unlimited Inc. was launched in 1990 by three jewelers looking to provide high quality, Canadian-designed and custom-manufactured platinum and 18-karat gold jewelry.
It currently is run by President Chris Knight, Operation Manager and partner Richard Lowe, Head Designer and partner Rachel Tucker, and Managing Consultant and partner Larry Hall.
“We have experienced great success working with Superfit over the years,” Knight said. “It is a pleasure to align Platinum Unlimited with Superfit Inc. and offering what I consider to be the only custom fit option for my customers.”
Superfit joins a number of other jewelry companies that have announced news related to the Canadian market in recent months, including Galatea, which just named a new Canadian distributor, and Frederick Goldman, which announced in December that it would begin distributing the Goldman, ArtCarved and Triton brands in Canada this year.
