Martin Katz’s Earrings Call to Mind Wintry Weather
Micro-set with hundreds of diamonds, these snowflake earrings recreate “winter’s most elegant silhouette,” and are our Piece of the Week.

These 18-karat white gold and diamond snowflake earrings by Martin Katz are a perfect representation of what lies ahead for much of the country this weekend—snow, lots and lots of it.
In creating these earrings, Katz said he wanted to transform the “extraordinary” design of a single snowflake into diamonds.
He used hundreds of micro-set diamonds that catch the light from every angle to give the earrings an “ethereal, almost floating” feel.
“They are, to me, a timeless tribute to the season’s most exquisite form—glamorous, modern, and a graceful reminder of the holiday season. [They are] my ode to winter’s most elegant silhouette,” he said.
Katz is based in Beverly Hills, California, and has been designing jewelry for more than three decades.
His work is often seen on celebrities both on and off the red carpet, and these diamond snowflake earrings made their way onto the small screen this past holiday season.
Singer and “Happy’s Place” star Reba McEntire paired them with a Katz-designed necklace featuring marquise- and pear-shaped diamonds while performing at the lighting of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in December.
The earrings are price upon request.
