New York--The results are in, and they aren’t surprising: drop earrings and diamond pieces once again rocked the red carpet, this time at the recently held Primetime Emmy and MTV Video Music awards.
At the Emmys, held Monday night at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, many stars shone in diamond jewelry, wearing names from Neil Lane and Fred Leighton to Chopard and Forevermark.
Along with glamorous drops, cuff and stud earrings also were popular looks as well as diamond bracelets and rings.
Necklaces seemed to be more scarce at this year’s Emmy Awards, likely due not only to the higher necklines on many stars’ dresses but because the ear adornments brought more than enough sparkle by the face.
At the VMAs, held Sunday night at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., celebrities went a little lighter on the jewelry, opting for smaller diamond necklaces and rings with stud earrings, as opposed to elaborate or traditional red carpet-esque pieces.
