Who needs jewelry? Get me this iPad case
As if diamond-studded bras weren’t enough, now consumers have the option of adding some serious bling to their iPad cases.
The Natural Sapphire Company recently unveiled a case for Apple’s new iPad Mini that is crafted of 18-karat white gold and covered in 3,328 natural Ceylon blue sapphires totaling 599 carats, with 50 diamonds on the Apple logo.
This sapphire-covered accessory (below) sells for $700,000, “or just three easy installments of $233,333.33,” the company says, and costs about 2,127 times the iPad Mini, which retails for $329.
“Don’t be just another drone on your hour-long commute fitting snuggly in with the steel grey of our technological society,” Paul, of the Natural Sapphire Company, blogged on the business’ website. “Be different, be unique … be conspicuously and resplendently beautiful!”
And be sure to have that iPad chained to you, especially if your commute involves public transportation.
The Natural Sapphire Company also makes blinged-out iPhone cases, starting at the comparatively low price of $100,000.
