AGTA To Debut ‘Stuller Color of the Year’ Spectrum Awards Category
The new category asks entrants for “exceptional” interpretations of the supplier’s 2026 color of the year, which is “Signature Red.”

The “Stuller Color of the Year Award,” sponsored by Stuller, will honor “exceptional interpretations” of its color of the year, said Alissa Talbot, executive director of diamonds and gemstones at Stuller.
The jewelry manufacturer and supplier introduced its first “Color of the Year” in 2025, but its 2026 pick, “Signature Red,” will be the focus of the category’s debut at the 2026 Spectrum & Cutting Edge Awards.
Stuller said the color is “daring yet classic” and “embodies passion, elegance, and strength. More than a hue, it’s a statement that commands attention and celebrates individuality.”
A judge from Stuller will select two winners, one from the Spectrum jewelry entries and one from the Cutting Edge entries, for the new award.
“This approach allows us to recognize both the beauty of a gemstone itself and the craftsmanship and design behind a finished piece,” Talbot said.
Rubies, garnets, and tourmaline are some of the gemstones in the “Signature Red” arena.
“Color plays a meaningful role in jewelry design and has long been a way Stuller helps the industry spot emerging trends,” said Morgan Waters, vice president of marketing and sales at Stuller.
“This award celebrates the creativity, craftsmanship, and passion behind colored gemstones, and we’re honored to support jewelers and designers through this new addition to the Spectrum Awards.”
John W. Ford, Sr., CEO of AGTA, said the color is “sure to inspire many cutters and designers to create masterpieces that will wow judges in this year’s awards.”
AGTA’s board president, Bruce Bridges, added, “Stuller’s dedication to the industry and contributions are wide and deep, and their sponsorship of this category is an extension of its longtime reputation for innovation and commitment to jewelers.”
Stuller recently partnered with AGTA to mark the colored gemstones on Stuller’s website that were sourced by AGTA member vendors.
The 2026 AGTA Spectrum & Cutting Edge Awards will open for entries at the end of June.
