I have to admit, so-so reviews have kept me from checking out Tim Burton's new Alice in Wonderland film, but I love how Burton's take on the beloved classic seems to have inspired boatloads of creativity from some of the jewelry industry's biggest names.
Last fall, Disney announced that jewelry designer Tom Binns would create the "Tom Binns for Walt Disney Signature" and "Tom Binns for Disney Couture" lines, a high-end, limited-edition jewelry collection and an entry-level collection, respectively, both inspired by Burton's new film. Meanwhile, crystal brand Swarovski was busy getting into the game too. Early this year, the brand launched four limited-edition pendant necklaces, all inspired by the film's famous tea party scene.
But the latest company to take a trip down the rabbit hole is Brazilian brand H. Stern. Though the collection may seem like an afterthought given the film's early March release date, I'd say this is a collection that was worth waiting for, just look at the "sculpture-rings," as the brand describes them, seen here. It's an apt description given the sprawling forms of the tree rings and the texture and detail of the rose and mushroom styles.
In a nod to Alice's changing size throughout the film, each of the rings are available in two sizes. Shoppers can pick from "human dimension" and "extraordinary dimension," the latter featuring designs up to 10 centimeters in height. If you can't do without one, contact H. Stern at (800) 7HSTERN. The rings are available by special order only.

Above: "Topiary Garden" ring features a bird design made of hundreds of golden leaves, soldered one by one and covered with green enamel.
"Cheshire Cat" ring features a gold dipped cat in blue enamel, stretched out on gold and diamond branches. The cat's smile was rendered in fluorescent paint and glows in the dark.
