Greenwich St. Jewelers Goes Back in Time With First Estate Collection

The collection is a limited-time offering of pieces that date back to the Victorian and Art Deco periods, mid-century designs, and bold gold statement jewelry from the late 20th century.
The debut of the collection underscores the jeweler’s continued commitment to presenting jewelry as both a timeless expression of beauty and a meaningful investment in heritage, it said.
It also comes at a time of increased interest in antique and estate jewelry.
“This moment felt like the perfect time to introduce our first estate capsule,” said Jennifer Gandia, co-owner of Greenwich St. Jewelers.
“We are in the midst of celebrating 100 years of Art Deco jewelry, and more than ever, people are drawn to the archival styles and the artistry of craft from the past.”
Throughout the 54 pieces of antique, vintage, and estate jewelry, there is a selection of gemstones—diamonds, sapphires, rubies, and emeralds—set in platinum and gold.
A majority of the pieces are unsigned, with the exception of designs by David Webb, Jean Vitau, and Brev.
“Estate jewels embody what we call conscious luxury—they are rare, storied pieces, crafted to last, and already loved. By reintroducing them now, we honor history while giving our clients the opportunity to carry it forward,” Gandia said.
Consumer interest in antique and vintage jewelry has been increasing steadily for years, as noted in National Jeweler’s “State of Jewelry Design: The Top 10 Jewelry Trends of the Past Decade.”
From Art Deco designs to tennis bracelets and vintage-cut gemstones, the trend of choosing old over new can been attributed to people’s interest in jewelry that tells a story, as well as pieces that are one-of-a-kind and are a good value.
Greenwich St. Jewelers’ Estate Capsule Collection debuted in the store last week. The pieces range in price from $550 to $138,600.
It is available for a limited time at Greenwich St. Jewelers’ Tribeca store and on the jeweler’s website.
