John Hardy’s New ‘Dot’ Collection Is on Point
Originally introduced in 1992, the “Dot” collection is back with a capsule featuring five archival designs and three new creations.

New York—John Hardy is celebrating its 50th anniversary with the launch of new and archival pieces in its “Dot” capsule collection.
The collection, which first debuted in 1992, is known as one of the brand’s “most iconic and culturally resonant style,” it said.
It centers on a symbolic circular motif created from the Balinese tradition of granulation, known as “jawan.”
To create this, Hardy, who founded his namesake brand in 1975, took granules of silver and flattened them, and the resulting styles became the original Dot collection.
The new Dot collection features three new creations in sterling silver, as well as five designs the brand brought out of the archives, with Creative Chairman Reed Krakoff reimaging them though a sculptural, modern lens.
“The Dot collection has always embodied a quiet strength that feels just as relevant today as it did when it first debuted,” said Krakoff.
“For our 50th anniversary, I wanted to celebrate the designs that helped define John Hardy’s DNA—pieces that balance artistry, symbolism, and wearability. Revising Dot allowed us to honor our heritage while reinterpreting it for the modern world, proving that true design endures.”
The three new creations are the “Dot” ring and hoop earrings.
The collection of new and archival pieces blends past and present in a way that honors the brand’s heritage while reinterpreting it for a new era, it said.
The pieces are handcrafted in Bali using traditional techniques, with original master molds from the ‘90s being used for the archival re-issued pieces.
Dot also includes flexible wrap jewelry crafted with an innovation Hardy introduced in 2002 which features internal titanium wire, so the style will always spring back to its original shape.
Throughout Dot, heritage design elements symbolize infinite connection, made new through technical innovation, the brand said.
The eight-piece collection retails from $450 to $5,400.
It debuted Aug. 18 and is available on the John Hardy website.
