Margot McKinney Lands in the U.S. With New Boutique
The brand’s first independent location outside of Australia has opened in Beverly Hills, California.

The new store is located inside The Peninsula Beverly Hills, a luxury hotel, at 9882 South Santa Monica Blvd.
It is Margot McKinney’s first location outside of Australia, where the brand is based, with a history dating back to the 1880s.
While the brand is stocked in the United States at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, and other luxury retailers, it said growing demand led the company to expand its retail presence.
“It is a thrill to be opening my first independent Margot McKinney store outside of Australia, and an honor for it to be located within the incomparable Peninsula Beverly Hills,” said Margot McKinney, a fourth-generation jeweler and designer of the eponymous brand.
“This is a milestone moment in the 141-year history of the McKinney family business, and I could not have asked for a more fitting environment to showcase my jewelry to a whole new group of collectors.”
The boutique blends the colors, textures, and ambiance of The Green Door flagship location in Brisbane, Australia, with the hotel’s stylistic allure, the brand said.
McKinney’s trademarked “Kelly Green” gloss lacquer can be seen throughout the boutique, from the cabinetry to the trim. Beside the cabinetry is an accent wall decorated with a teal chinoiserie-inspired wallpaper with botanical and exotic bird motifs.
Above, the ceiling showcases a recessed dome highlighted in gold.
The space features an eclectic curation of furniture, including leopard print chairs, an antique desk with a restored leather writing surface in sky blue, and wall-mounted lamps with mirrored sconces.
The new boutique will showcase a broad selection of McKinney’s designs to provide new customers with an introduction to the brand.
McKinney is known for using a bold scale of gemstones like Australian South Sea pearls, Australian opals, diamonds, sapphires, tanzanites in her designs.
Recently, her “Atlantic” pendant was seen at the 2025 Met Gala, worn by NFL player Jonathan Owens, who attended the event with his wife Olympic gymnast Simone Biles.
The 18-karat white gold piece features a 119.44-carat aquamarine surrounded by 9.07 carats of diamonds and a South Sea pearl drop. Owens donned the brooch on a white suit, the color of the aquamarine coordinating with Biles’ tailored blue dress.
The brooch was also seen on Met Gala 2025 co-chair A$AP Rocky, who recently wore it with a green corduroy suit on the cover of Vogue’s Met Gala issue.
A highlight of the new boutique is McKinney’s “Marina” collier, created for the designer’s debut at the TEFAF Maastricht art fair in March.
The necklace features a 241.147-carat cushion-cut green beryl, a 109.48-carat green beryl, and a large baroque pearl suspended from a 65.72-carat aquamarine, along with an arrangement of green tourmaline, small diamonds, baroque South Sea pearls, sapphires, aquamarines, paraíba tourmalines, and tsavorites.
The Margot McKinney store in Beverly Hills opened in April.
