Buccellati to Expand Workforce by 500 Employees Over Next Three Years
The Richemont-owned company is investing in its jewelry production and watchmaking workshops.

The decision to expand follows significant sales growth in recent years, said the Richemont-owned brand, noting it has established itself in Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific.
Its jewelry production workshops are based in Italy in the Milan, Como, and Valenza districts. Its silversmith workshop is located in the Bologna district.
Only its watchmaking workshop is based outside of Italy, located in Chiasso, Switzerland.
“These workshop expansions will clearly see young apprentice goldsmiths recruited so that they can take up this beautiful craft, one that traces its origins back to the Renaissance workshops of Florence and Venice,” said Buccellati.
It will expand its workshops in Via Brisa, Milan, and Valbrona, and acquire two workshops in Gioj in the Valenza district, employing more than 50 artisans.
The two new workshops will move to a new, larger facility, which is currently under construction.
There will also be a new workshop built in the Como district that will employ more than 100 artisans. It will focus on the engraving work typical of Buccellati, particularly in its “Macri” collection.
At the Zola Predosa silverware production workshop, the facilities will be upgraded to accommodate 30 artisans and workshop staff.
The Chiasso watchmaking workshop will move to a new, larger location, located in the same district, where it will be able to house more than 50 watchmakers, engravers, setters, and production staff.
“All of [Buccellati’s] products are inspired by the utmost dedication to the Italian goldsmithing and silversmithing tradition. They represent the fruits of the four generations of the Buccellati family creative talent and are shaped by the hands of skilled artisans who hand down the craft from generation to generation,” said Buccellati.
Looking to recruit young apprentices, Buccellati has been partnering with several of Italy’s training institutions.
Since 2022, the company has been supporting and working with the Scuola Orafa Ambrosiana a Milano, partnering on several engraving courses.
The school is currently teaching its fifth cohort of students in the Master in Goldsmith Arts course. Previous course graduates have gone on to work in Buccellati’s workshops.
