The four honorees were chosen as influential leaders whose business practices embody a commitment to positive social impact, industry innovation, and community empowerment, the organization said.
“Diamonds Do Good honors leaders who understand the vital connection between a successful business, social purpose, and community care,” said Kathy Corey, president of DDG.
“These honorees exemplify values our organization and the natural diamond industry hold dear. They inspire us with their vision and commitment.”
Claudia Cividino, the president of Jared, will be honored with the Retail Leadership and Innovation Award.
DDG said she was chosen for her innovative retail leadership and for highlighting the role of natural diamonds in the jewelry world.
Cividino’s vision for Jared “embraces innovation, celebrates the client at every touchpoint, and has brought in fresh brands while celebrating existing ones in unique ways,” said DDG.
India-based retailer Tanishq was chosen for the Purpose-Driven Business Leadership Award.
DDG said the company was selected for its commitment to ethical practices and meaningful community engagements.
Through pioneering initiatives, Tanishq set a benchmark for responsible business leadership in India and beyond, said DDG.
The company aims to empower local artisans, preserve traditional jewelry-making techniques, and champion the use of responsibly soured gold and diamonds, as it expands into the U.S. market.
Sissy’s Log Cabin, a family-owned jewelry retailer serving the Mid-South, will receive the Community Impact Award.
DDG is recognizing the Jones family’s philanthropic spirit.
The organization said the family business exemplifies for the industry how community impact and excellence in jewelry business go hand-in-hand.
Shri Govind Dholakia, founder of Shree Ramkrishna Exports (SRK), will be honored with The Good Award for Lifetime Achievement.
Dholakia started his career in 1964 in Dudhala, Gajarat, India, and has since relied on his commitment to trust, ethics, integrity and transparency in developing SRK.
The Diamonds Do Good awards will be presented at DDG’s annual gala on June 5 at 6 p.m. in the Venetian Hotel’s San Polo Ballroom in Las Vegas.
DDG hosts the event, which occurs the night before the JCK Las Vegas show opens, to bring together leaders dedicated to making a positive global impact through the diamond industry.
