Aurelie Gi Is Elevating Its Permanent Jewelry Experience With Charms

The brand’s “For Keeps” collection allows retailers to offer their customers a personalized take on the current jewelry trend.

Aurelie Gi is among the brands upping the ante on the permanent jewelry trend, adding charms into the mix.
New York—Not as permanent as a tattoo but more of a commitment than a friendship bracelet, “permanent jewelry” is the hottest current jewelry trend when it comes to providing customers with a memorable experience.

The trend involves fitting and welding a chain—as bracelet, necklace or ankle bracelet—directly onto the wearer.

The experience leans into fine jewelry’s sentimental nature, representing a milestone, value, or bonding experience between multiple people.

And though it isn’t easily removable, chains can simply be cut by a jeweler, making the purchase less of a commitment than say, a piercing.

Aurelie Gi is among the companies putting a twist on the trend by adding charms into the mix.

The Crandall, Texas-based brand is offering retailers its “For Keeps” package, consisting of nickel-free, recycled 14-karat yellow gold chains and a selection of best-selling charms.

Charms include delicate diamonds, opals, turquoise, and white sapphires, as well as motifs like hearts, butterflies, snakes, evil eyes, crosses, and words like “Mama.”

There are also dangling birthstone charms for each month.

The entire selection is available in 14-karat white gold by request.

Wholesale orders require a $1,000 minimum, with retailers able to select their preferred mix of charms.

Retailers need only supply a jeweler, a pulse welder, and jump rings to host their own permanent jewelry appointments or events.

Most items retail for under $250, with the full range items priced between $90 and $435.

“The Aurelie Gi permanent jewelry designs are more than just a beautiful bracelet or anklet, it is a meaningful experience for all genders that is perfect for sharing with family, friends, or life partners,” said Aurelie Gi U.S. Vice President of Sales and Operations Alisa Bunger.

“Our customization options make the pieces truly yours, something to remind you of a specific person or a special moment every day. While the jewelry can be removed, it's a different level of commitment than typical jewelry with clasps—we like to think of the ‘For Keeps’ designs as next-level friendship bracelets.”
