Pandora debuts ‘Hearts of Today’ to support charities
Pandora is launching a new initiative to celebrate the women around the world who work to improve the lives of women and children in their communities.

The Hearts of Today program launched in the United States on July 28 to give Pandora the chance to support a number of charitable causes important to women to help make changes needed for the future.
The company is now taking nominations for the 2014 Hearts of Today initiative, which is open to the public and can be accessed on the Hearts of Today section of Pandora.net.
Pandora has assembled a board of five women--human rights advocate Penny Abeywardena; Emmy Award-winning journalist Shaun Robinson; philanthropist June Sarpong; sociologist and author Pepper Schwartz; and Andrea Alvey, a member of Pandora’s board of directors--to help narrow down the submissions to 20 semi-finalists. All 20 will be recognized at a luncheon scheduled to take place in November.
From there, the public will be able to vote for the final eight winners online. Each of the eight winning women will receive a $25,000 donation to help the organization with which they are working.
“Pandora has always been very committed to charitable efforts such as breast cancer awareness, but through Pandora Hearts of Today, we are now able to financially support other causes and issues that are equally important to women and also mean a lot to our consumers,” Alvey said.
