Chris Hemsworth Now an Ambassador for TAG
The watch brand also announced that an ad campaign featuring the Australian actor, who was named People’s Sexiest Man Alive last year, will launch later this month.
La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland--Australian actor Chris Hemsworth, who has starred in movies including Thor and Snow White and the Huntsman, is TAG Heuer’s newest brand ambassador.
An international advertising campaign featuring Hemsworth will begin running just before Christmas, with the actor wearing the brand’s Carrera Heuer-01 in-house chronograph.
TAG Heuer said its relationship with Hemsworth was strengthened due to the film Rush, which was released in 2013 and stars Hemsworth as Formula 1 driver James Hunt. TAG Heuer was a partner of the movie.
“It was also a natural choice for TAG Heuer to have an Australian as an international ambassador, as the Swiss watch brand has a strong historic presence in the country,” the company said.
Hemsworth, who appears in the upcoming films In the Heart of the Sea and the remake of Ghostbusters and was named the “Sexiest Man Alive” by People magazine last year, joins fellow ambassadors Tom Brady, quarterback of the New England Patriots, and actress and model Cara Delevingne.
