Stephanie Gottlieb’s New Movado Watches Are Made for Your Wrist Stack
Movado teamed up with the New York-based fine jewelry designer on a new collection of Movado Museum Velura watches.

The partnership follows her recent announcement that she is taking her brand wholesale, partnering with Sofer Jewelry on an 85-piece collection of lab-grown diamond jewelry.
For her latest venture, Gottlieb has taken a “jewelry-first point of view” to designing a new collection of Movado Museum Velura watches.
The eight-piece collection features five 25mm watches, four of which have natural stone dials. These five timepieces feature gemstone-set bezels, vibrant sunray finishes, and yellow-gold PVD Milanese mesh bracelets.
There are also three 21mm watches with bright dials and colorful leather straps.
“Movado’s iconic Museum Dial became the perfect canvas for bringing my world of color to life. We wanted to create watches that feel both joyful and timeless—pieces you’ll reach for to celebrate life every day,” said Gottlieb.
The signature style was designed in 1947 by Nathan George Horwitt, an artist influenced by the Bauhaus movement. He was inspired by the sundial.
“The Movado Museum Dial was so special to work with because it’s already a work of art,” said Gottlieb in an Instagram video about the collaboration.
The traditionally minimalist Museum Dial is reimagined as a colorful part of a jewelry wrist stack, blurring the line between watches and jewelry, said Movado.
“Design doesn’t end with the piece itself for me. How it’s worn, how it’s layered, how it lives on someone, that’s the next step of the creative process,” said Gottlieb in the video.
“Stephanie has an incredible talent for using color and gemstones in a way that feels fun, personal, and distinctly her own,” said Margot Grinberg, president of Movado.
“This collaboration brings her unique perspective to the Museum Dial, creating a fresh expression of an iconic design while staying true to the simplicity and timeless modernism at the heart of Movado’s design DNA.”
The centerpiece of the collaboration features a yellow gold-tone sunray dial surrounded by a rainbow of gemstones on the bezel, including citrine, yellow sapphire, peridot, green garnet, Swiss blue topaz, London blue topaz, iolite, amethyst, pink tourmaline and spessartite.
It retails for $2,295.
The four 25mm natural stone dial options are turquoise with pink tourmaline, malachite with green garnet, sodalite with iolite, and pink jade with pink tourmaline.
Each of these also retails for $2,295.
The three smaller (21mm) options feature a more accessible price point.
There is a light rose-gold PVD case with a pink sunray dial and a raspberry leather strap; a stainless-steel case and light blue sunray dial with a navy leather strap; and a yellow-gold PVD case with a light green sunray dial and a teal leather strap.
Each of the 21mm styles retail for $795.
The Stephanie Gottlieb x Movado Collection debuted Wednesday and is available on Movado’s website and Stephanie Gottlieb’s website.
