Macy’s expands same-day delivery service
The retailer has added nine cities to the list of places where it will do same-day delivery for purchases made online.
Cincinnati--Macy’s Inc. is stepping up its shipping game, adding to the list of places where it will do same-day delivery for purchases made on both Macys.com and Bloomingdales.com.
The big-box retailer now is offering same-day delivery service in Atlanta, Boston, Honolulu, Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, New York City/Western Long Island, Orange County and Philadelphia for online purchases made at Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s.
Macy’s alone also will be extending the service to Dallas and Las Vegas.
These additions mean that Macy’s Inc. now offers same-day delivery for online orders in a total of 17 cities.
“When we piloted same-day delivery in eight markets initially last fall, we learned that our customers appreciate the additional option of having their purchase brought to their home or office in a matter of hours,” said R.B. Harrison, chief omni-channel officer at Macy’s. “It is an important part of our value proposition as an omni-channel retailer, serving customers who shop our stores and websites whenever, wherever and however they prefer.”
