Robin Shabazz has been hired as vice president of employee relations and policy development, where she will be responsible for the management and development of Sterling’s employee relations programs, policies and services. She also will lead the company’s existing employee relations team, partnering with functional areas within the organization to enhance team member satisfaction.
John Liebler has been promoted to divisional vice president of operations administration and special projects, handling Sterling’s operations administration and field communication teams as well as overall management of the technology and logistics, information and analysis team, and the field policy and procedures team.
He will also oversee management and communications processes for the field’s design and service centers.
Succeeding Liebler in his prior role of vice president of regional operations is Christopher Gullo, who now will be responsible for overseeing store operations for the East Coast region, including Connecticut, New Hampshire, New York, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.
Akron, Ohio-based Sterling is owned by Signet Jewelers Ltd., which successfully merged with Zale Corp. in May in a deal valued at $1.4 billion.

Charles Kriete is now the executive vice president of Haskell Jewels and the managing director of Haskell Timepieces, where he will oversee all operations of the brand’s watch division and work to expand international distribution.
He comes to the costume jewelry and watch company from Bulova Corp., where he was executive vice president, a position he held since 2013.
Prior to that, Kriete was the president of Geneva Watch Co. from 1996 to 2010 and president of Colibri Inc. from 2010 until his appointment at Bulova, Women’s Wear Daily reported.
The Responsible Jewellery Council is moving out of its current location at the Dudley House on Southampton Street in London and will be temporarily based at the nearby Arundel House, also in London.
