Chris Ploof, Severine Ferrari Launch YouTube Video Series
“Conversations with Chris Ploof” covers tips for men buying wedding bands, behind-the-scenes footage of Ploof in his studio, and more.

“Conversations with Chris Ploof” is a documentary-style series of vertical shorts.
Season one is comprised of six videos. It began in October 2024 and the finale will debut on March 31.
Throughout the series, Ploof chats about topics spanning from how he became a jeweler to expert shopping tips for men buying wedding bands and his brand’s commitment to sustainability.
The videos also include behind-the-scenes footage of Ploof working as a blacksmith and hand-forging metals like Damascus steel at his studio in Central Massachusetts. He also demonstrates the Mokume Gane metalworking technique seen in some of his pieces.
“I am excited by this medium of storytelling and its accessibility on YouTube, especially as the popularity of vertical shorts continues to grow in the social media world,” said Ploof.
“I love working with Severine, and when she suggested a video series, I jumped at the opportunity. The short videos give us a chance to share so much more of what we do and how we do it and more importantly, why we do it.”
As the producer, Ferrari chose to format the series in the vertical shorts genre to showcase Ploof’s personality.
Ferrari said she has been experimenting with different video formats over the past couple of years.
The best solution, I think, is to paraphrase here. Then the following sentence flows better too. She’s been experimenting with different formats, and this is why they chose short-form videos.
With short-form videos, the series is better suited to share on social media and concise for the viewers who can choose to watch one clip at a time or swipe through all six clips.
“His workshop process and size are so different from what we typically see in the NYC Diamond District, and having his wife Ann, a goldsmith too, as his muse and partner adds another layer of romance to his creative journey that our audience can really connect with,” said Ferrari.
Season one of Conversations with Chris Ploof is available to view on the Engagement 101, Chris Ploof, and Chris Ploof Designs YouTube channels.
Season two is in the works and slated to release this fall.

“I hope everyone will enjoy the series as much as we enjoyed creating it. And we can’t wait to share more later this year,” said Ploof.
