RapNet, AGTA Partner to Launch Gemstone Trading Network
The online diamond and jewelry marketplace has expanded, introducing a new platform dedicated to colored gemstone trading.
The new dedicated colored gem trading platform, Gemstone Trading Network, was developed in collaboration with the American Gem Trade Association (AGTA).
It integrates the association’s ethical standards and arbitration procedures, which AGTA said will ensure trust and transparency in gemstone trading.
The platform will launch at AGTA GemFair Tucson next month.
RapNet said the move highlights the growing significance of colored stones within the global jewelry market and demonstrates how the online marketplace is committed to serving the industry’s evolving needs.
Partnering with AGTA underscores the platform’s dedication to “maintaining high industry standards while delivering cutting-edge solutions for gem dealers and retailers,” according to RapNet.
“We are thrilled to offer gem businesses the ability to connect and trade 24 hours a day,” said Saville Stern, chief operating officer of RapNet.
“Our platform empowers sellers to reach a vast audience of buyers, while buyers can effortlessly find the perfect gemstone at the right price, anytime, anywhere. The collaboration with AGTA has been instrumental in creating a platform that meets the needs of the modern gem trade, and we are confident this partnership will drive success for gem buyers and sellers across the industry.”
AGTA President Kimberly Collins and AGTA CEO John W. Ford, Sr., in a joint statement, added, “AGTA, as the pioneer of ethical gem trading and colored gemstone disclosures, [is] proud to partner with RapNet to bring this colored gemstone marketplace to the world.”
