Columbia Gem House Announces “Pebbles to Pines” Fundraiser
The miner will be raffling off jewelry, donating all proceeds to reforestation efforts for some regions of America’s national forests.

The mining company is raising money for the National Forest Foundation’s (NFF) Reforestation Program, which focuses on reforesting critical-need regions of America’s national forests.
Like in years past, CGH is hosting a raffle in conjunction with the 2024 MJSA Responsibly Sourced Design Challenge, an annual contest in which designers are given a fictional story to integrate into a custom jewelry design.
Columbia Gem House donated gemstones for participating designers to utilize in their creations.

The miner sourced the gemstones from areas with forests targeted by NFF initiatives—Montana Sapphire, Oregon Sunstone, Yogo Sapphire (also from Montana), and Mesa Verde Peridot from Arizona.
The designers have donated their finished pieces to be raffled off in the “Pebbles to Pines” fundraiser.
Nine jewelry pieces will be featured in the raffle, and they can be previewed here.
All raffle ticket sales will be donated to the program, which will plant one tree for every dollar raised.
Columbia Gem House’s goal for its Pebbles to Pines Fundraiser is to plant 10,000 trees, which would require the miner to sell 400 raffle tickets.
“While direct environmental reclamation at mining sites may not always be feasible, this project demonstrates how we can still make a positive impact by intentionally offsetting some of the environmental effects through collaboration and support for local communities,” said Natasha Braunwart, Columbia Gem House’s brand and corporate social responsibility manager.
“We are excited to work with the National Forest Foundation to help restore critical-need areas, some of which are in states where we source our American gemstones.”
The raffle will be open online from Oct. 1-31.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased through Columbia Gem House’s website.
Each piece of jewelry will have 100 tickets available, with no purchase count limit as long as the piece remains in stock.
The miner will send a reminder when tickets become available, as well as other fundraiser updates, to those subscribed to its email list.
